We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager – Mining Services (Site based Projects) to drive growth across our Mining Services division, with a particular focus on site-based projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong network within the mining industry, a sound understanding of site operations and contracting environments, and a proven ability to secure and deliver large-scale service contracts.

About the Role

This position plays a pivotal role in identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence across the mining sector, with a strong focus on the Bowen Basin and a secondary focus on the Northern Queensland mining hubs, and the Hunter Valley region.

This role targets strategic growth across three key service areas:

  • Fixed Plant Services: Including remedial works and ongoing maintenance packages.
  • Infrastructure Projects: Covering new installations, upgrades to existing infrastructure, and full Engineer-Design-Construct (EDC) project delivery.
  • Production Equipment Works: Focused on planned shutdown packages for major assets such as draglines and other critical production equipment.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients.
  • Building and managing a sustainable pipeline of long-term contracts.
  • Working closely with company divisions to identify opportunities that deliver a competitive advantage.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to grow revenue across site-based mining services projects.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the mining industries.
  • Conduct regular site visits and client meetings to understand operational challenges and propose tailored service solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging project opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven track record in business development or sales within mobile equipment services, fleet management, heavy equipment, or related industries.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical or technical service environments.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
