About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to lead the planning and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects within a mining and heavy industry environment.

This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating pre-construction and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Projects may include road repairs, plant operations, and safety equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a critical role in driving project success through:

  • Leading a strong safety culture and ensuring full compliance with HSEQ standards, legislation, and site requirements
  • Planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction operations and project delivery
  • Managing resources, materials, logistics, and procurement activities
  • Monitoring project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure targets are achieved
  • Providing leadership, direction, and mentoring to teams, including apprentices
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, and quality assurance records
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Identifying and managing risks, incidents, and performance issues in a timely manner

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Essential:

  • Relevant Trade Qualification (Certificate III)
  • Schedule 26 or Section 44 certification
  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence
  • First Aid Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in a management or supervisory role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in mining or heavy earthmoving industries
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance
  • Solid computer and administrative skills

Highly Regarded:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or Engineering
  • Frontline Leadership training
  • Additional licences (LR/MR/HR)
  • High-risk tickets (Forklift, Dogging, EWP, Working at Heights, Confined Space, etc.)
