We're looking for an experienced and proactive West Coast HSEQ Coordinator to help strengthen our safety culture across our labour services, mining maintenance, fabrication and project operations throughout Western Australia.
Reporting to the Manager - West Coast HSEQ, you'll play a key role in supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of our HSEQ Management System. This is a hands-on role that combines field engagement with the systems, documentation and compliance activities that keep our operations running safely and efficiently.

About the Role
As the West Coast HSEQ Coordinator, you'll work closely with leaders and employees across our business to promote safe work practices, legislative compliance and continuous improvement.
Your time will be split between visiting operational sites and our Henderson workshop, while also managing the critical reporting, documentation and compliance activities that demonstrate effective HSEQ performance.

Key Responsibilities
HSEQ Systems & Compliance
- Support the implementation and continual improvement of the FMS HSEQ Management System.
- Maintain HSEQ documentation, registers and compliance records.
- Assist with legislative compliance, client requirements and company procedures.
- Coordinate documentation for client audits and internal compliance reviews.
- Ensure controlled documents remain current and compliant.
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate hazard, incident and near-miss reporting.
- Support incident investigations, including 5 Whys and ICAM methodologies.
- Monitor corrective actions through to completion.
- Analyse safety trends and recommend practical improvement initiatives.
Risk Management
- Assist with the development and review of SWMS, JHAs, risk assessments and safety management plans.
- Support verification of critical controls and fatal risk management processes.
- Participate in workplace inspections and field risk assessments.
- Work with operational teams to implement practical risk controls.
Field Leadership & Safety Engagement
- Conduct workplace inspections, observations and safety interactions.
- Participate in toolbox talks, pre-starts and safety meetings.
- Coach supervisors and employees on HSEQ expectations and best practice.
- Promote positive safety behaviours and workforce engagement.
Reporting & Administration
You'll also play an important role in ensuring our HSEQ systems accurately reflect the work being done by maintaining high-quality records and reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing incidents, hazards, NCRs and corrective actions within safety systems.
- Preparing monthly HSEQ reports and KPI dashboards.
- Monitoring leading and lagging performance indicators.
- Maintaining audit schedules and compliance records.
- Coordinating document reviews and revisions.
- Analysing HSEQ data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Workers Compensation & Return to Work
- Assist with injury management and Return-to-Work processes.
- Maintain workers compensation documentation and records.
- Liaise with employees, supervisors, insurers and rehabilitation providers.
About You
You're a motivated HSEQ professional who enjoys balancing time in the field with the administration that underpins effective safety management. You build strong relationships, communicate confidently with operational teams and take pride in maintaining accurate systems and records.
Essential Requirements
✔ Qualification in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
✔ Current Australian Driver's Licence
✔ Previous experience in a Safety Coordinator, HSEQ Coordinator, Safety Advisor or similar role
✔ Strong understanding of workplace risk management principles
✔ Excellent organisational and administrative skills
✔ Experience maintaining HSEQ records, reports and compliance documentation
✔ Strong written communication and report writing skills
✔ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HSEQ management systems
✔ Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business
Desirable
- Experience within mining, maintenance, fabrication or heavy industry
- ICAM Investigation Training
- Return to Work Coordinator experience
- Internal Auditor qualification
- Experience with ISO 45001 Management Systems
- Experience analysing HSEQ performance data and identifying trends
