Love recruitment, love people and like being in the middle of everything?

FMS Group is growing across WA, and we’re looking for a switched-on Recruitment Coordinator to join our West Coast People & Culture team.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend all day moving applications through an ATS. You’ll be hands-on across the whole recruitment process - sourcing great people, speaking with candidates, working closely with our operational teams, getting offers out and making sure new starters are ready to hit site.

We recruit across mining, maintenance and heavy industry, so things move quickly. Priorities change, new roles land, projects ramp up and sometimes we need good people yesterday. If you enjoy that kind of environment, you’ll fit in well.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working closely with the West Coast Recruitment Lead, you’ll help manage recruitment and workforce requirements across our WA operations.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Working directly with hiring managers to understand who/what/when/where/why

  • Writing job ads and getting roles to market

  • Screening and identifying strong candidates

  • Proactively sourcing (head hunting) candidates

  • Coordinating interviews, references, medicals and background checks

  • Preparing offers, contracts and onboarding documentation

  • Keeping candidates engaged and informed throughout the process

  • Maintaining accurate recruitment records, employee information and reporting

  • Looking for smarter, faster and better ways of doing things as we continue to grow

Most importantly, you’ll help make sure the experience people have with FMS is a good one - whether they’re a candidate, employee, hiring manager or someone we’re convincing to come work with us.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need to know absolutely everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who is organised, confident, proactive and genuinely good with people & loves talking on the phone.

You’ll suit this role if you:

  • Have previous recruitment, talent acquisition or HR experience

  • Understand mining, construction, trades or another fast-paced workforce environment

  • Are comfortable managing a variety of vacancies and priorities at the same time

  • Have strong administration skills and great attention to detail

  • Communicate well and know how to build relationships with different personalities

  • Are comfortable using recruitment systems (bonus points for PageUp), databases and Microsoft Office

Why FMS Group?

There’s a lot happening at FMS.

We’re continuing to grow our presence across Western Australia, building our internal capability and bringing together businesses and teams across the wider FMS Group.

That means this role has plenty of opportunity to get involved beyond simply filling vacancies. You’ll have exposure to recruitment campaigns, workforce planning, employer branding, process improvement, mobilisation and broader People & Culture initiatives as the business continues to grow.

If you’re someone who likes to learn, improve things and actually see the impact of your work, you’ll have room to do that here.

About FMS Group

Established in 2005 as CQ Field Mining Services, FMS Group has grown from a regional business into a diversified organisation supporting mining and heavy industry across Australia and Papua New Guinea. FMS Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We value diversity and inclusion and recruit based on merit, capability, performance and business requirements.

Sound like your kind of role? We’d love to hear from you.
