PNG Field Mining Services (PNGFMS) is currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to fill positions in Papua New Guinea on a 28 day on 14 days off Roster. Duties include working in a general workshop, component changeouts, field break downs and diagnostics.

Your Skills and Experience:

To be considered for the role, you must have the following:

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter
• Australian Citizen/Resident
• Can work in a challenging environment
• A minimum of 4 years mine site experience (post trade)
• CAT Machine experience essential
• Experience with the following machinery is desirable: Hitachi Excavators, Volvo Articulated Trucks
• A genuine commitment to safety
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a multinational team environment
• Understand cultural respect and awareness
• Willingness to mentor the national workforce to assist with further developing their skills

Successful applicants must:

• Hold a current Passport (with at least 12 months validity)
• Be able to pass a medical examination, drug and alcohol screening and an Australian Federal Police Clearance prior to engagement
