Working across various sites within the Bowen Basin you will be responsible for carrying out audits, safety observations, incident investigations, reporting, record retention, and providing Health and Safety support to the workforce on site.
You will succeed in the role, with experience with the following:
- Lead by example to establish a strong safety culture
- Ability to review, implement and utilise policies, procedures & legislative requirements across the business to drive continuous improvement in our safety culture.
- The ability to provide guidance and assist with implementation of risk management strategies
- Monitoring compliance according to WHS legislation, codes of practice and applicable Australian Standards
- Conduct audits and inspections on operational areas, and communicate outcomes to all levels within the business
- Ability to conduct incident investigations
- Liaise with the team to keep VOC’s managed
About You
Successful candidates will have:
- Relevant Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Health and Safety
- Rehabilitation & Return Work Coordinator certificate
- Drivers Licence – essential
- Be an effective communicator – written, verbal & interpersonal
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality
