FMS Group is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager – Mobile Equipment Services, to join our team.
You will actively engage with clients across Queensland, New South Wales, and Papua New Guinea, with a preference for a Central Queensland base, we are flexible on location for the right candidate willing to travel extensively to mine sites.
This role requires a proactive, field-oriented approach to business development, leveraging site visits and strong industry relationships to identify and win targeted works packages.
About the Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and securing project opportunities across the mining sector, with a focus on mobile equipment including excavators, rope shovels, and drills.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Promoting and selling our proprietary inhouse solutions such as HAWC undercarriage systems, FMS products, minor works shutdowns for mobile plant, and Safety Lift Systems project packages.
- Building and managing a sustainable pipeline of contracted works packages.
- Negotiating and securing new income streams while creating value-adding solutions for clients.
- Working closely with company divisions to identify opportunities that deliver a competitive advantage.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven track record in business development or sales within mobile equipment services, heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
- Strong understanding of mechanical or technical service environments, with a preference for advanced knowledge of tracked equipment operation.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with a desire to be onsite, inspecting customer machines every week.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
