About the Role
The Strategic Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities across non-mining markets on the East coast of Australia, positioning the company as a leading provider of integrated infrastructure and asset management services This role leverages off the organisation’s existing capabilities in design, construction, and ongoing asset sustainment. The vision is to deliver full EPC/M turnkey solutions from inception, through design to construction and commissioning ideally coupled with ongoing management of the asset, including everything in between.
The role requires proactive engagement with a broad stakeholder base including government bodies, consultancy firms, and Tier 1–3 contractors and authorities. Building brand awareness and securing positioning in tender processes, EOIs, and supplier portals is critical to success.
While ideally based in Southeast Queensland, the role offers flexibility in location for the right candidate, provided you are willing and able to travel to meet strategic and operational commitments.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive strategic business development and growth within non-mining infrastructure and asset management markets.
- Identify, pursue, and secure major contracts and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across government, utilities, and industrial sectors.
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop and deliver integrated service solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and emerging opportunities.
- Represent the business at industry forums, tenders, and networking events.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in business development, strategy, or account management within infrastructure, utilities, facilities management, or asset services.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
