Safety Lift Solutions (SLS) is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our specialist team delivering major component change‑outs and complex machine jacking works on large mining excavators and shovels across WA, QLD, and NSW.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to step away from routine maintenance and into specialised heavy lift and major component operations.

You will work closely with engineering and site teams to safely deliver complex works in accordance with approved lift plans, jacking methodologies, and site safety systems. The role includes involvement in multi‑modular change‑outs conducted during jacking operations as part of ongoing national projects.

As SLS continues to grow, this position offers clear career pathways into advanced technical specialisation or future supervisory and leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Major component change‑outs and machine de‑decking
• Undercarriage jacking and support system installation
• Slew bearing replacements and track frame change‑outs
• Circular and XY milling operations
• Machine recoveries and full machine relocations
• Hydraulic system setup, fault finding, and controlled load movements
• Strict compliance with lift plans, isolations, and site safety systems

About You:

• Trade qualified Diesel Fitter
• Strong experience working on large mining excavators and heavy equipment
• Solid capability with hydraulic systems and heavy mechanical components
• Strong interest in major component change‑outs and complex lifting works
• High awareness of risk management and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small specialist team
• Willingness to travel and work across multiple sites and states
