We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter – Mobile Maintenance to support a large mining operation in Papua New Guinea.

You will work alongside national technicians, providing hands-on coaching, mentoring and technical guidance to lift safety, quality and maintenance standards over the long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor and develop PNG national mobile maintenance technicians
• Provide technical guidance and quality assurance on maintenance execution
• Act as a visible role model for safe work practices and high standards
• Support diagnostics and fault finding when required
• Identify skill gaps and recurring technical issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement, reliability and defect elimination initiatives

About You

• Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade Qualification
• Extensive mining experience with proven technical mastery of CAT Dump Truck maintenance, diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, torque converters & drive lines
• In-depth knowledge of 3500 series CAT engines
• In-depth knowledge of EUI fuel systems with the ability to diagnose and repair
• High technical credibility
• Strong focus on safety, quality and disciplined execution
• Patient, calm and committed to developing national capability
