About the Role
FMS Group is seeking experienced and safety-focused Riggers to join our shutdown crews across various mine sites in the Bowen Basin, QLD.
We are looking for motivated, reliable Riggers who take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently the first time.
This is a casual position offering ongoing shutdown opportunities working either a 4/4/4 or 5/5/5 roster. Successful candidates will join a high-performing maintenance team delivering shutdown and project works in a fast-paced mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out shutdown maintenance and project works across various mine sites throughout the Bowen Basin
- Perform rigging, lifting, and dogging activities in accordance with site procedures and industry standards
- Safely execute complex lifts using cranes, chain blocks, and other lifting equipment
- Work across various roster schedules to meet operational requirements
- Previous experience in Fixed Plant, Shovel, and Dragline shutdown maintenance is highly regarded
What You'll Bring
- Current High Risk Work Licence with Intermediate or Advanced Rigging (RI or RA)
- Current Dogging (DG) Licence
- Demonstrated shutdown and/or mining industry experience
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
- Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 certification
- Current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
- Current Gas Test Atmosphere ticket (highly regarded)
- Current Driver's Licence
