HV Electrician

We are currently seeking experienced and safety-focused HV Electricians to join our growing operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across mining and heavy industry environments while being part of a team that values safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.

Reporting to our Coordinators within the Labour Services division, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical maintenance, installation, testing, and fault-finding services across site operations.

About the Role

As an HV Electrician, you will be responsible for the safe assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all work is completed in compliance with company standards, client requirements, and relevant legislation.

This position requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced site environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical systems above 600V
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical systems using testing equipment and hand tools
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company, client, and legislative requirements
• Complete required documentation including JSEAs, SLAMs, permits, and task records
• Participate actively in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and risk assessments
• Maintain tools, equipment, PPE, and vehicles to a high standard
• Work safely at heights, on EWP’s, scaffolds, ladders, and various site environments where required
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across work areas
• Support team operations and assist with additional duties as required

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Current Electrical Licence
• Trade Qualified Electrician
• HV Switching qualification
• Current LVR/CPR
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Strong safety focus and commitment to safe work practices
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within mining or heavy earthmoving industries
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Reliable work ethic and ability to work within a team environment

Highly Regarded

• LR, MR, or HR Driver’s Licence
• RII qualifications including:
• Forklift
• Conduct Lifting Operations
• Dogging
• EWP
• Gantry or Overhead Crane
• Working at Heights
• Confined Space
• Gas Test Atmospheres
