About the Role
Reporting to the Structural & Fabrication Lead, you will provide essential support to our trades team and assist in maintaining safe, efficient and productive site operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting tradespeople with maintenance, repairs and overhaul activities
- Preparing materials and equipment using hand and power tools
- Supporting mechanical and fabrication works
- Performing spotter, fire watch and hot works support duties
- Assisting with assembly and dismantling activities
- Safely operating forklifts and other authorised equipment
- Maintaining workshop, yard and site housekeeping standards
- Completing required documentation, risk assessments and safety forms
- Following work orders, SOPs and client procedures
- Maintaining company vehicles and equipment to company standards
- Reporting hazards, incidents and equipment concerns promptly
- Supporting environmental and site compliance requirements
- Undertaking other duties within your skill set as required
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Gas Test Atmospheres certification
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the mining and/or heavy earthmoving industry
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Reliable work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Dogging certification
- Forklift Licence
Highly Regarded
- LR, MR or HR Driver's Licence
- Current Glencore Generic Induction
- Conduct Lifting Operations certification
- EWP competency
- Gantry or Overhead Crane experience
