FMS Group is currently seeking technically advanced Underground Drill Fitter, to fill a position at a Gold Mine situated in the Western Highlands of Papua New Guinea.   

You will be working a roster of 21 days on, 14 days off. 

Your Skills and Experience:

To be considered for the role, you must have the following:

• Trade qualified, minimum +6 years’ continuous Heavy Mining Equipment experience
• Experience with:  Atlas Copco M2D Jumbos & Simbas, Sandvik DD422i Jumbos, Sandvik DS422 Cable Bolter
• Ability to work in often challenging conditions is a must
• Ability to create and deliver technical solutions
• High focus on preventative maintenance
• Proven ability to deliver continuous improvement and implement best practices is a must
• Willingness to mentor the national workforce to assist with further developing their skills is mandatory
• Strong work ethic and ability to work in a multinational team environment
• Understand cultural respect and awareness
• A genuine commitment to safety
• Australian and New Zealand citizens/residents will only be considered

Successful applicants must:

• Hold a current Passport (with at least 12 months validity)
• Be able to pass a medical examination and an Australian Federal Police Clearance
• Have a Working Resident Permit approved before commencement (organised by FMS Group)
